Playlist: 2017

Hello !!!

It’s day 8 of the #30DayBlogChallenge .A community of bloggers have been doing as as a means  of spring cleaning  our blog post.  Other than yours truly, here are the blog post that cracked my ribs and made my mind go on endless journey’s:
These are our communities topping blogs post.  Well mine is also playing among the top.  Anyway,  let’s get to the meat of the issue at hand. We all have that one song we would crack our voices for without  a care in the  world and there those songs that constantly  play back on our devices without tiring our eardrums.

Emmanuel Odera, a Worship Pastor has the most fascinating playlist. According  to him, it express his strengths  emotionally,   mentally  and spiritually.

in his own words this is Pastor Emmanuel’s top 3 playlist and why

1.Travis Greene – Have your way

There are times I as a person keep trying to do things my way and end up hitting a brick wall and I feel like everything is against me. Ever since I listened to this song it has been on repeat because I have been submitting to God’s will and not mine.

2.Babyface – Wonderful tonight

It’s a fairy tale story of a man and a woman who go out and everyone keeps looking at them and admiring how Wonderful they look together. I guess that’s what I would desire in a relationship but at the same time I need to be wonderful before I get there.

3.Chris Brown- Don’t judge me

He is among my favorite pop artist. He displays how ugly the world can be when someone does something that is contrary to what they expect. I guess we are all quick to give the verdict before we actually listen to both sides of the story.

On the other hand, I have a nearly predictable playlist.

3.Angel Bernard: she is an up and coming artist in East Africa with a voice to recon with.  Her song Siteketei  has made the Kubamba Radio top ten charts for the past 3 weeks.  This specific  song inspires  me spiritually and reminds me of who God is.  Hope you will  enjoy.

2: Paul Celement : Also a Tanzanian, his song  has made the Gospel charts earlier this year. Amenifanyia Amani is the title of his Album which was launched at ICC Dome Nairobi earlier this year. The song reminds me of the grace and mercy God avails us through our entire journey  in life as believers.

1. Tasha Cobb’s ft Nicki Minaj – I’m Getting Ready :yes, it is currently  topping my chart  despite the contrary.  The song is more  than just  bringing hope it reminds us that God will always use the most unlikely  people  to testify of his greatest. For me that’s all that matters. I would post the video  but I’m sure by now you have searched for it or someone  has shared it already, instead here is the excerpt of Nicki’s  part of the song.

[Bridge 1: Nicki Minaj]
Yo, aye yo, beach house vibes maneuver the jetski
‘Cause-’cause I serve the God that parted the red sea
Multi-million dollars commercials for Pepsi
From food-stamps to more ice than Gretzky
I don’t gotta talk the Lord defends me
I watch them all fall for going against me
‘Cause me and all my angels shot the devil up
While you was trying to pull me down I levelled up
I levelled up twice, I levelled up three times
He tapped ’em and told ’em “she’s mine”
So even when I cried I knew I’d be fine
Prepare for a miracle blessing in these times
Now praise Him, raise Him, name it, claim it
Every tongue that rises up against me, shame it
I breathe success in and out my lungs
I got the power of life and death coming out of my tongue
